Tool Working on a New album
Source: heavymetalheavenProg Rock/Stoner metal slash Unholy musical warlocks, TOOL have announced that they are working on a new album, in the usual fashion of the band doing their crazy mathematical music wizardry before vocalist Maynard James Keenan adds his highly metaphorical, drug trip inspired lyrics onto the mix.
Making no differences to past recordings, the band themselves expect the new album to take Forever (not literally, thankfully) to record and are reluctant to put an approximate release date on it.
That’s what make TOOL such a great band, they’d rather go silent and keep their heads down for five years to make an incredible album than rush out some generic compilation of album-filling feces every other year.
TOOL fans will be used to the long wait between albums, but there is one peice of bad news here to disappoint the legion; and that’s the band have decided to cut down on touring periods, Keenan is essentially getting too old for the Rock ‘n’ roll lifestyle:“Physically, I can’t do it, so that’s not gonna happen,”
But don’t despair just yet! stop pointing that gun in your face, take the magazine out and place it in a draw for now, ‘cos this doesn’t mean that they’re going to stop touring, just that future tours will be less extensive
“We will tour, but it won’t be the old-school dog-and-pony show of eight months of beating yourself to death.”
Some consolation, but now that there will fewer gigs in a tour, the race for tickets will become some sort of violent blood sport, just pray that decide to gig in your country!
So there you have it, come back in a minimum of two years for the album review!
